Metro Kendo Club came to visit Davao Kendo Club on May 26th to celebrate their 3rd Anniversary on May 27, 2017. The event consists of a short Kata practice, a friendly shiai and Godo Keiko (mass sparring). Apart from Metro Kendo Cub, other clubs were also invited such as Cebu Kendo Club, Iloilo Kendo Club and Tanglin Kendo Club Singapore.

Hong Kong Asia Kendo's annual examination and Championship is here! Metro Kendo Club's delegates participated for the Exam this year held at the usual venue, Tin Shui Wai Sports Center on March 10 - 12, 2017. Congratulations to all passers! The Metro Manila Kendo Friendship Cup came back for its third year with the focus on the 11 Asean Kendo Tournament (AKT) bound Philippine team members as they pit their talents against all comers. This year it was hosted by us, Metro Kendo Club, which was held at our home dojo, Gatorade Hoops Center on June 11,2016, 4 to 8pm. Another great practice session for Metro Kendo Club happened this weekend and this time, it’s in Davao. We were invited by Davao Kendo Club for a two day joint practice last June, 27 and 28. 17 members visited Davao which includes 7th Dan Naoko Morishima sensei and 5th Dan Tomo Akita sensei. Another year is coming to an end and every December we hold the Yamanishi Cup. Named after Metro Kendo Club’s previous head teacher of more than 10 years, Koji Yamanishi Sensei. WE'VE MOVED! Metro Kendo Club practices are now held every Saturday 6 to 8pm at the Gatorade Hoops Center, Liberty Center on Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City. May 24, 2014 is the last day for our beloved Osuga Sensei in Metro Kendo Club. Kendokas took turns for a chance to spar with him one last time. We are thankful for his teachings and lessons in kendo and iaido. For six years he has been a beacon of hope and inspiration for all kendokas in the Philippines.
