Luzon Shiai & Shimpan Seminar
It was a fruitful weekend for the Luzon based kendokas as United Kendo Federation of the Philippines staged their first official event of 2020, a Kata/Shinsa Seminar to prepare participating kendoka for the various shinsa (dan ranking exam) that will be held later this year. Special practice with the Osawas
The Osawas come by to practice with Metro Kendo Club (joined with IGA Kendo Club) before the year ends. Rina Osawa practiced Metro Kendo Club years ago and has returned to practice with us this year with her husband, Osamu Osawa -san. Last weekend we also held an exclusive 2 day women's practice with her to gain more knowledge in bridging the gap between women practicing kendo in the kendo community.

We have invited Rika Mitsuhashi Senpai (4th from the left) for a 2 day Gasshuku for Metroken girls when she came to visit Philippines.
