The 2 Day Kendo Seminar by Aoki Hisayoshi (7th Dan) and Aritoshi Shima (7th Dan) was held on July 1-2, 2017 at Treston International College. The Seminar consists of Kata seminar and Shimpan seminar which were quite informative and helped a lot in broadening and giving us a deeper understanding of Kendo.

Metro Kendo Club came to visit Davao Kendo Club on May 26th to celebrate their 3rd Anniversary on May 27, 2017. The event consists of a short Kata practice, a friendly shiai and Godo Keiko (mass sparring). The very first Philippine National Kendo Tournament was held on November 19- 20, 2016, in the Tire Center Sports Gymnasium in Caloocan City, Metro Manila. The two day event consisted of a seminar day on the first day, where Nihon Kendo Kata and Bokuto Ni Yoru Kendo Kihon-waza Keiko-ho were taught, and the second day was dedicated to the shiai. The Metro Manila Kendo Friendship Cup came back for its third year with the focus on the 11 Asean Kendo Tournament (AKT) bound Philippine team members as they pit their talents against all comers. This year it was hosted by us, Metro Kendo Club, which was held at our home dojo, Gatorade Hoops Center on June 11,2016, 4 to 8pm.
